Fashion, food, art and golf – they all play a huge role in my travel plans. I find London an inspiring city; it’s great for trend-watching, shopping, art and eating. Our go-to spot for a cocktail is Claridge’s Bar in London’s iconic hotel, followed by dinner just around the corner at Scott’s – famous for its seafood. I take in art at the Royal Academy, the National Gallery and the V&A.
Finca Cortesin, just next to Casares, one of Andalucia’s classic Pueblo Blancos. I love southern Spain: the weather, the coast, the food and the golf! The finca has an epic breakfast in the courtyard – not to be missed.
The view from the golf course at Cortesin is breathtaking; it looks out toward the mountains and the Mediterranean, plus the course is challenging (the Solheim Cup was just held there). I love the focus that it requires. I first picked up a golf club on a vacation to Tuscany with Joe; I hit the ball and immediately knew it was a sport I was up for. The mechanics of the game intrigue me and how far the ball soars if hit correctly – the feel and the sound.
I usually buy a special fashion piece in London – I love Selfridges as they’re always on the cutting edge – and a local piece to remind me of the trip.
You can’t go wrong with the perfect white shirt, my Pink Tartan ‘‘smart shirt’’ will take you anywhere, from the beach to dressed up for dinner. My favourite outerwear piece at the moment for on the plane is my ‘‘leather moto jacket,’ it transitions nicely from day to night. The sneaker trend is great for getting in all your steps and then I change to my signature [Prada] kitten heel to dress up for evening with a belt and bag change.
Travel is a source of exploration and relaxation. Nothing beats new inspiration, and a good round of golf.
